Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

Huey is a male, black and white, short haired cat who is about 12 years old and 10 pounds. He is a very confident, sweet boy that loves attention.  Huey loves to cuddle with you and rub against your face for attention.  He will even cuddle with you in bed for attention.  Huey is like a little teddy bear in that you can hug and cuddle him and he loves it.  Huey is talkative when he wants to get your attention and very food motivated. Don’t let his age deter you because Huey loves to play, wand toys are his favorite and will play with you for hours. He would do fine with most other cats, dogs and kids.  He does tend to be a dominant boy and had a minor issue with a very insecure cat in his foster home.  This cat was from his previous home and is extremely timid causing Huey to stalk him.  Huey has not had any issues with any of the other cats that he has come into contact with, so he should do fine with any other kitties in his new home.

Huey has some small patches of missing hair that may or may not regrow over time.  Our veterinarian says these patches are due to his previous living environment and are no reason to be concerned.  He also tends to have itchy ears and our veterinarian recommends routine maintenance and cleaning of his ears.  He is an older boy and there is no telling what he has seen in his 12 years of life, but he has been given a clean bill of health and is desperately looking for his forever home.
